The Bellingham Chamber Chorale’s 2014-2015 concert season, themed “Heading East,” will come to a close on May 16th at Christ the Servant Lutheran Church with “Music of the Pacific Rim.” Japanese, Korean, Peruvian and Spanish are some of the varied tongues you’ll hear, and we will once again perfom Elixir of the Solar Spectrum – a piece commissioned exclusively for us in which we also collaborated with local artists. Read more about Elixir here.
Previous “Heading East” concerts this season:
Our first concert this season was December’s “Ceremony of Carols,” which featured exquisite music from Benjamin Britten and then from the acclaimed Conrad Susa, in his own setting of carols inspired by Britten’s work. We followed that with our March “All Night Vigil,” showcasing Rachmaninoff’s master work of the same name -check out an article from Entertainment News Northwest, as well as our flash mob in downtown Bellingham to promote the concert!
