Gabriel Fauré

A re-imagined version of Fauré's Requiem

Rosamund Dyer, Mezzo-Soprano

SOLOIST

We invite you to experience a reimagined version of  Fauré's Requiem. This interpretation breathes new life into the beloved work:

the ethereal Pie Jesu arranged by our conductor for SATB and chamber orchestra, all of the baritone solo will be sung by a mezzo-soprano soloist, and subtle adjustments to the choral textures that reveal different depths of expression.

This performance offers a transcendent and deeply personal journey, distinct from the version with a large choir and symphony orchestra. Through this reimagining, we hope to illuminate Fauré's vision of eternal rest, comfort, and the promise of peace---a sacred reflection on life, loss, and the infinite grace beyond.
